Vicki Provost earned an MA in studio art from Western Carolina
University, with a concentration in photography. Her work has its
foundations in the documentary genre, but ventures beyond the
objective with spiritual connotations.
Provost taught fine art photography at Western Carolina University as
adjunct faculty while receiving awards in juried exhibitions. She has
exhibited at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, the
Southeast Center for Photography in South Carolina, and other museums
and galleries in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Further work includes time as an artist in residence in South
Carolina, North Carolina and Alaska, while photographing landscapes.
Her images have appeared in publications such as L'oeil de la
Photographie and Smithsonian Magazine, while additional works of hers
have been presented in the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards exhibition
and the Pollux Awards exhibition in Barcelona, Spain.
Vicki Provost resides and maintains a studio in Western North Carolina.
